1. Waking up before dawn feels natural.
2. When you hear the bell for class go off, you sit there for a few seconds
and decide
whether or not you have to stand at attention.
3. You start calling your parents Ma'am and Sir.
4. You know classmates only by their last names.
5. You maintain 40 inches back to chest whenever you walk with friends.
6. You have heard at least 10 recorded versions of the National Anthem.
7. You watch "Survivor Bootcamp" and laugh at their lack of stamina.
8. Your friends find it hard to keep up with conversations that consist of words
such as flight, COLS, and insignia.
9. You stand at attention when you arent doing anything.
10. Your natural walk now consists of to-the-rears and other flanking
movements.
11. The idea of people yelling in your face is no longer new or strange.
12. The Military life really excites you.
13. You have an overwhelming urge to straighten the cashiers nametag at
the grocery store.
14. You get mad when you see movies where the military performs something wrong.
15. You walk in step with your afjrotc buddies.
16. You walk in step with your non-afjrotc buddies.
17. You begin calling it Rot-See
18. You sleep with your homemade drill rifle
19. You spin everything in sight
20. You are bothered by people who obviously have never heard of a gig line.
21. The idea of even wearing a military uniform around high school is not at
all strange.
22. The hottest fashion trend-Long hair and baggy jeans just seems wrong.
23. Group activities are now called missions.
24. You cry when you see the color guard
25. You cry when you see the ASI.
26. You cry when you realize AFJROTC was thee best thing to ever happen to you,
and the last day of your senior year, you have to say goodbye to the greatest
high school class ever made.
