At 0xpo Crossroads in San Francisco on November 3, blockchain attorney Lisa Rubin of Paul Hastings spoke about legal misconceptions the industry still holds. Rubin explained the importance of obtaining legal advice before launching a crypto company, noting that many of the legal issues the industry faces can be avoided with early preparation. Rubin also pointed out that the crypto industry is constantly evolving, and it is therefore important to keep up with the latest developments in order to stay ahead of the curve.
At Web Summit in Lisbon on the same day, co-founder of Tezos Kathleen Breitman discussed how Tezos has been using a proof-of-stake mechanism since its inception. She also highlighted the importance of progressive decentralization, and talked about her admiration for Tendermint and Ethereum. Breitman also offered insight into the growing NFT gaming industry, and how developers can use it to create new and exciting experiences.
On November 3, at 0xpo Summit in San Francisco, the panel „Raising in a Bear Market“ featured Clay Robbins of Slow Ventures, Soona Amhaz of Volt Capital, Sarah Guo of Conviction and formerly Greylock, and Alex Strzesniewski of AngelBlock. The panel discussed the challenges of raising venture money during the ongoing Crypto Winter, and offered advice for entrepreneurs on how to secure funding in a bear market. The panelists also discussed the importance of building relationships with investors and staying persistent, even through market downturns.
To conclude the day, the inaugural Crypties Awards from Decrypt Studios in Miami featured the award for NFT Project of the Year. Illa Da Producer accepted the Cryptie on behalf of Yuga Labs from presenter Alanna Roazzi-Laforet. The other nominees for the award were Moonbirds, Azuki, DeGods, and CloneX. The awards ceremony celebrated the accomplishments of developers, entrepreneurs, and projects in the industry, and provided a platform for recognizing their achievements.
