Details of the Program
The Nailwal Fellowship is open to any builder who wants to do something big in web3. It will offer $500k of Sandeep’s personal capital invested into 10 individuals every year ($50k/fellow). In addition to this funding, recipients will also receive support from Symbolic Capital in the form of weekly mentorship, access to tools connecting them with top founders and investors, as well as access to funding if they start a company as a result of the fellowship.
Purpose of Fund
Sandeep stated that he wanted his work to have an impact on the world which is why he decided to launch this program and invest his own money into it. He hopes the fund will help top builders quit their cushy jobs or resolve things preventing them from realizing their true potential so they can pursue building in web3 full-time for 6 months.
Background on Sandeep Nailwal
Nailwal opened up about his own background, sharing that he came from a poor family and had a tough upbringing; being the son of a day worker who migrated in search of livelihood. He spent much of his early career working just enough to pay bills and unable to pursue his real dreams or build something meaningful until now with this fund.
The newly announced Web3 Fellowship Program by Polygon co-founder, Sandeep Nailwal is set out not only with financial support but also additional resources such as mentorship opportunities and access to investors and tools for those hoping to make an impact within web3. This program is set out with good intentions by Sandeep himself who understands what it means for those coming from difficult backgrounds trying achieve their dreams within technology or blockchain industry without any outside assistance, so he hopes this fund can help more people realize their true potentials with some extra assistance provided through this program.
